Characters actions are drawn in sequence to make a point
Follow Through/Overlapping Action
After the character stops moving the bag does not come to a complete stop, it followed the main action
Slow in-Slow Out
The ball starts its action slowly and eases out slowly at the end
Arcs
Arced movement feels more lifelike and natural
Secondary Action
The blanket and pillow move because of the characters actions
Timing
The balls have different timing between frames that sends across different messages
Exaggeration
This would never realistically happen
Solid Drawing
This animation has a solid model
Appeal
This is a unique animation, which is why it’s appealing
Principals and Elements of Design
Balance- symmetrically balanced

Proportion- cloud appears small
Rhythm/repetition- alternating pattern
Emphasis- breaks black&white rhythm
Unity- all elements come together to create an image

Contrast- colors make the two parts opposites in this image
Direction- gives the illusion of movement

Economy- simple image
Color- shows multiple colors on a wheel ( multiple hues)

Line- one dimensional shapes used to create art
Mass/Volume- each piece has a solid body

Movement/Motion- changing the orientation would create the illusion of movement

Space- 3D space the is shown by other elements

Texture- creates a feel with its design

Typography- text creates image

Value- uses light and dark to achieve its purpose
